Matt and his running partner Lucas Carr first took on the Boston Marathon in 2012. For years they ran to raise money and awareness for some incredible organizations around the area. However, they had always envisioned that one day they would be able to for the charity of their own. That dream became true in 2021 and is now a fixture on the calendar every year.
 

Alongside Matt and Luke, the foundation has been able to secure an additional bib for an individual to join their team during the last three years.

We owe a huge thank you to Marykate, Jessica, and Brendan for their commitment and sacrifice when they each took on the 26.2 miles themselves! Their dedicated efforts to fundraising have raised over $100,000 for the foundation.
Running alongside Matt and Luke this year is Matt’s cousin Shannon Brown. This will be her first ever marathon so it is bound to be special. The Matt Brown Foundation can’t wait to see you take on the course, Shannon!
